The Little Crown Inn

Lovely pub. It was pretty busy but the staff were lovely. We were there for a party with a buffet; the food was really nice and everything looked nice and clean. Can't fault it. Didn't get the chance to try the regular menu, obviously, but we're hoping to go back soon for a burger. Even had a little play area tucked away at the back for the kids.

Stopped by for Sunday lunch yesterday. The pub/restaurant is very nice inside and out with a beer garden. The staff were friendly. Ordered the battered prawns to start, they were excellent, nice light batter, seemed to be made fresh... And then the chicken roast - again excellent. Chicken was cooked well, served with YP, pigs in blankets and stuffing, with a really nice gravy. The vegetables served alongside were all nicely cooked as well. Would definitely recommend and would return again.

It has been many years since my last visit to this pub, so I called today to inquire about a Sunday lunch booking. While they were fully booked, they kindly accommodated us for a limited time, which was perfectly acceptable. The garlic mushroom starter was exceptional; possibly the best I have ever tasted. We then enjoyed a mixed meat (beef and chicken) roast, which was abundant, hot, and included extra gravy, a delightful bonus. The roast was delicious and deserves the highest praise. The restaurant itself was spotless, and the service was excellent. My only concern was the bill. We had intended to order the £26 three-course meal, but when we were about to order dessert, we were informed that the mixed meat roasts were not included in that deal. I wish they had mentioned this when we initially ordered, as I would have chosen a single meat option and included dessert. Despite this minor setback, I will certainly return and highly recommend this establishment.
