The Loans Inn

Had dinner at Loans-we live locally so nice to have somewhere in walking distance. Menu was great with lots of choice including vegetarian options. They had a 2 course for £19.95 menu with good options. Service was quick but not in a rushed way. Food was delicious-we had miso mushrooms, tempura with citrus glaze, steak pie and then apple crumble for dessert. We were mostly served by Nell who couldn’t have been friendlier-she was brilliant. We will absolutely be back.

Went for a family meal to celebrate birthdays. We had an early dinner due to having a toddler in the party. Good friendly service from the staff and very welcoming atmosphere. The refit suits the place very well. The food was excellent - everyone enjoyed their meals, especially our 14 month old granddaughter who got to taste everything that the rest of us were having! Would recommend and we will be back soon.

What a fantastic hotel. After a few stressful days travelling we arrived with our two dogs to a wonderful welcome from the staff. The hotel is definitely dog friendly, there were bowls and treats in the room. There is a huge enclosed field to exercise the dogs just next to the hotel. The restaurant has a cosy little nook where we could sit with our dogs. The food at dinner and breakfast was beautifully cooked and yet again the staff were wonderful. The young man behind the bar made one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. We will definitely return, thank you
