The Lombardy Hotel

Stayed at this hotel for our recent trip to NYC. Great location and super spacious rooms heart of Manhattan area. Walkable distance many attractions. Loot of dining options around this hotel. Parking is one block away from the hotel. Front desk staff are super courteous. Highly recommended place to stay if you want to explore Manhattan and surroundings.

The Lombardy is a great hotel, more low-key than some, without the large reception area, but with very comfortable rooms. We stayed in one of their Manhattan Suites, which offered plenty of space: a kitchenette, a separate living area, and a generously sized bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. While the suite was definitely nice, some of the furniture could use a bit of an update, as it’s clearly seen better days. That said, everything was clean and very comfortable, which matters most. The location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk to Central Park, and surrounded by a wide selection of bars and restaurants (though that’s probably true of most places in New York!). The staff were pleasant, helpful, and genuinely friendly. All in all, a really pleasant stay—and one I’d happily repeat.

I’m not sure why this hotel is considered a 4 star! Room 208 was like a cheap motel that I paid almost $500 for 1 night! The air conditioner wasn’t functioning, the bathroom door was jammed! I was shocked when I walked into the room! The attendant on departure lacked any sort of customer service and was rude! There is NO dining, NO room service! It’s an embellished cheap motel!
