The Lovina

Very nice Ressort located directly at the beach (black sand). We got an upgrade to a villa with 2 very spacious, luxurious bedrooms - one with a bathtub in the room on the second floor. In front of the rooms, facing the beach there is a spacious very nice balcony. One the first floor you will find a very large living / dining room with a large open kitchen. So you could walk - or take a shuttle into the village, buy everything you want to cook and prepare dinner or lunch. The subsequent garden is grown in so you do not see your neighbors, but can see people walking at the beach. But they won’t see you in the very nice pool in there, 7,2 x 3,4 m. Breakfast is served as a buffet on the beach or at a couple of other locations where you can either sit inside, or in the shadow or in the sun. Very nice staff also, nice bar at the beach, with a quite & nice band at the beach. Very large pool for all the guests to use.

This place surprised me for sure. 1. I got upgraded to a better room. 2. During dinner service, I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese and the dish was not as warm as I would have liked. Not because of the hotel, but because I was busy pictures of the food and the beach. I asked for the spaghetti to be heated. Note that I've already ate half and was expecting the remaining half to come back hot. They brought back a newly made Spaghetti Bolognese. First, I thought maybe they misunderstood me but no. They said "If we heated it again, the dish would not taste the same." I was in awe. I was not charged for the newly made dish. For a hotel that I came across just the night before, I did not come with high expectations. I thought I would just spend the night and see the dolphins in the morning and checkout. But the level of customer service is another level and the hotel is very clean. 5 stars on Google does not do this hotel enough justice.

Nice hotel but with some unexpected charges We stayed at The Lovina Resort and overall, the hotel was clean and well-maintained. The room was comfortable, and the private pool area with lounge chairs and umbrella was a great touch for relaxing. However, there were a few things that felt off. I booked for 2 adults and 1 child (10 years old), but we only received towels and amenities for 2 people. When I requested an extra towel, I was surprised to be charged 70,000 IDR just for one. Even a bottle of water cost 10,000 IDR, which seemed excessive for a hotel of this class. The food was okay — nothing exceptional, but decent enough. Overall, it’s a nice place, but be prepared for some unexpected charges.
