The Lucky Hotel

I was a part of a big hens group that attended the Lucky for bottomless brunch. I was the only vegan in the party and was super happy and impressed with the vegan options the Lucky provided for me. Generous servings and thoughtful dishes rather than something that was just slapped together which unfortunately can often be the case for vegan options. Friendly and professional service as well. Also, the courtyard is a lovely space, perfect for a special occasion

We absolutely LOVED staying at The Lucky Hotel. Rooms were beautiful and clean, with a cute little balcony. The comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in, in a motel. The hotel downstairs is unreal! Chill vibes, amazing food, and great service. Could not recommend higher!

If I could, I'd give it a 0. I'm an international person in Newcastle and have lived in many countries around the world before this. I chose this restaurant after a busy day and needed food. I politely asked a white waiter for a menu several times, but was ignored. Meanwhile, I saw him enthusiastically serving the locals next to me. I clearly saw the people sitting next to me hear my calls, and given the distance, it's impossible for the waiter not to notice me, unless he was selectively ignoring me. This aggressive behavior made me feel irritated. I miss the warm and polite service I received in Japan. If you're not a local or new to Newcastle, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant unless you want to be discriminated against for your hard-earned money.
