Dear Magnolia Hotel Team, We are writing to express our sincere gratitude for the truly exceptional experience we had during a recent stay at your hotel. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, every aspect of our visit was handled with the utmost professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. Your staff were beyond accommodating – always courteous, helpful, and genuinely committed to making our stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. A special thanks to Maggie (the manager), Sergio, and José who went above and beyond to assist us. We also appreciate all the restaurant staff and bartenders – they were fantastic! The room was beautifully designed and very comfortable. The amenities provided exceeded expectations, and we especially appreciated the sweet birthday cake surprise. What truly sets your hotel apart is the atmosphere you’ve created – it’s not just a place to stay, but a place where guests are made to feel welcomed, valued, and at home. We booked our stay based on the promises made on the website, expecting a comfortable, four-star hotel experience. What we got was the complete opposite. Upon arrival, we were shocked to find that the property resembled a basic roadside motel, not the upscale experience we had anticipated. The issues started immediately: • The room had a noticeable, unpleasant odor. • Instead of the king bed we booked, there were two single beds. • The pool area was incredibly underwhelming and nothing like the photos. • The location is unsafe for walking—you’re right next to a busy road with fast-moving traffic, making it nearly impossible to explore nearby shops on foot. To make matters worse, the staff became noticeably unhelpful and dismissive once they realized we were unhappy and considering other accommodations. There was no real effort to address our concerns or help us transition elsewhere. I would absolutely not recommend staying here. Save your money and your vacation—look elsewhere.

We booked our reservation based on the 4 star rating and the lovely video/ad for the hotel. Expecting a 4 star experience with all the amenities within a resort we were very disappointed. Upon arrival the feel of the hotel is very much like a “motel” experience in the US with small rooms, limited views of the parking areas or chain link fence in upgraded rooms. upon check in we realized we were more part of a men’s golfing resort and not the luxury 4 star we expected. Felt the ad was very misleading as to what was going to be available to us in a resort setting….this hotel is situated right on the main road, not part of a complex of shops, amenities,no sidewalks available to walk to shops, restaurants..scrambled to find alternate accommodation for the last 3 nights of our vacation to Portugal. The Conrad did not disappoint
