The Mandalay Hotel

A very friendly host who not only let us check-in earlier, but also offered us a free breakfast. The rooms were tidy and comfortable and the Guest House wasn‘t that far away from the centre at a 5-10 min walk. Highly recommended!

We recently booked a stay at the Mandalay B&B, hoping for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by the property's melancholy ambiance. Though the cleanliness of our room was commendable, the overall atmosphere reminded us more of a nursing home than a bed and breakfast. Moreover, its location, a 15-minute walk away from the town center, made it less than ideal for our plans. We felt compelled to look elsewhere and decided to leave promptly.

Did NOT enjoy my stay here, left with a horrible back ache from the bed, wasn't put together properly so any tiny little movement the head boards banging against the wall, towel rail hanging off wall, no hot water in sink,wall paper hanging off the wall in hallway, no bulbs in the lights in hallway so made it very dark to walk down, had to use phone torch at night. Breakfast wasn't too nice, i don't drink tea of coffee, so I wasn't offered anything else, the milk had bits in, the croissant was luke warm. The decor was like an old 80s care home, I wouldn't ever stay here again, most definitely not worth the money we paid at all. The only good part about this hotel was that it was close to mevagissey harbour.
