The Mansion at Glen Cove is a stunning venue ideal for just about anything! What stood out most was how beautifully they’ve preserved the historical charm of the estate. The even have a history wall where you can read about it the Pratt family. They also provide you a welcome packet with more of the history, walking, jogging maps, and other information. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, peaceful, and well-kept, creating the perfect backdrop for weddings or special events. One of the major perks is that your entire party can stay on the property, which sets it apart from many other venues. The bridal suite is spacious and elegant, with plenty of room for getting ready. There are also cozy upstairs lounges for the wedding party to connect away from the crowd, which was a thoughtful touch. The lawn is picture-perfect for a ceremony, and the stay itself was incredibly comfortable. The beds and linens were high-quality, and the staff was warm and attentive throughout our time there. Breakfast exceeded our expectations with fresh fruit, eggs, potatoes, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, and more. The halls stayed quiet, even with a full house, and the atmosphere remained relaxed and elegant. The pool is a wonderful just be sure to get there early, as some seating areas are reserved and can fill up quickly. There is also a pool menu, which I will add to my review. They do not have a restaurant on property but you can order from the pool and the food was good. Highly recommend this venue for a beautiful, seamless, and restful event experience.
We had an amazing experience working with The Mansion at Glen Cove over the past year leading up to our wedding on July 19th. We loved being the only wedding that day, which made the whole venue and staff focused entirely on us. Having both the bridal and groom suites all day was perfect for getting ready and relaxing. The cocktail hour and reception flowed beautifully, and the half-hour hospitality for our guests was a lovely touch. Huge thanks to the chef and his team for the delicious food, especially the special spicy salsas we requested! Jazmin and Meghan did an incredible job coordinating the day and working seamlessly with all our vendors. Our bridal assistant Ashley was a true gem and so helpful throughout the day. Having our guests stay on-site at the hotel made everything so convenient, and the after-party at the speakeasy pub on the third floor was the perfect ending, open bar, late-night bites, pool tables, and great music kept the fun going! We’re so grateful to The Mansion at Glen Cove for making our wedding day unforgettable!
If you're considering staying here, you should know in advance that this is primarily an event venue, and the hotel is a distant second priority. We were there for two weekend nights and there were at least four weddings. You go get ice in your PJs and walk past people in tuxedos partying. We heard thumping dance music in our room each night. When you walk around, every common area either has an event going, has one being setup, or looks like the morning at a frat house. The staff was very nice but clearly stretched thin. Messes everywhere, tables & chairs being setup or taken down. Our room had a nice garden view, except that it was partially blocked by a big pile of folding chairs plopped behind a hedge out-of-sight from a recent wedding. The indoor pool was closed for construction and the outdoor pool was closed half the time for events. The tennis court is a mess. No room service. You should also know there are no rooms in the old house as far as I could tell – that's got party rooms only. Guest rooms are in two 1970s-era brick buildings out back. All that said, it's a decent place to stay. The pool was alright, it was kinda fun walking around the old building, and the garden is nice with a nice view.
