We stopped in for cocktails and a meal in the hotel restaurant. The staff in the bar were very helpful and mixed two lovely cocktails. The restaurant staff led by Marcus were all outstanding. We were served by Chloe who was attentive but not overbearing. We couldn’t decide between 2 bottles of wine so Chloe brought a sample of each without hesitation. The food and service were excellent and we will return! Thank you to Marcus, Chloe, Ella and Reece - keep smiling… it makes a difference! 🙏👍
We had a fantastic stay at The Marcus Hotel Portrush during its opening weekend. The staff were lovely—warm, helpful, and couldn’t do enough for guests. We stayed on the 5th floor with a glimpse of the beach from our room and loved the central location, perfect for scenic walks around the harbour and Arcadia. Our room was clean and practical with a king-sized bed that was incredibly comfy, a mini fridge, and a brilliant shower. Each floor even had its own water station, which was a nice touch. The bar had a gorgeous Art Deco vibe—classy, quirky, and tastefully in tune with the hotel's historic character. It was very lively, especially with it being the opening weekend, with lots of guests popping in to have a look and soak up the atmosphere. Although I didn’t have breakfast, the buffet looked excellent. The professionalism of the staff really stood out. There’s also an Asian fusion restaurant on-site which looked top-notch—we’ll definitely try it next time. Drinks were well-priced too, especially the two whiskeys we enjoyed. Unlike some other local spots, The Marcus isn’t overcharging. Highly recommend booking via the Hilton Honors app—best rates and rewards points. Will definitely be back!
Stayed one night and I’m still trying to figure out where the rest of the room went. For €260 I expected a king room, not a royal broom cupboard. I’ve been in bigger photo booths. That said, the place was immaculate - like, if you dropped a chip on the floor you could safely eat it - and the staff were absolutely lovely. But honest to God, if you’re even slightly claustrophobic or arriving with more than a tote bag, bring a shoehorn. Gorgeous building, great location, teeny tiny room. Would I stay again? Only if they offer bunk beds and a floor plan.
