The room was beautiful. Well cleaned. Enough space for two. The bathroom is also big enough. Even tho it's mid of the city, it's relatively quiet. The bed was comfortable. Nice pillows and blanket. The bedding is good. The receptionist, doorman were so friendly and helpful, polite and hospitable. The hotel breakfast has a great selection of choices. They were enjoyable. There are not enough car parks for the hotel itself, but we managed to take a spot. There is a parking garage (space) across the street. (overnight it costs €30/24hrs). Good luck finding a spot in front of the hotel! Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel. A great location, with easy access to the old town of Bucharest. It would have been nicer if the room had a hook on the wall to hang our shoulder bag or so. 😊😊 The hotel restaurant was great, too! It's expensive but they were great.
We had an amazing stay at The Marmorosch. Our room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and offered a lovely view over the city. Room service was excellent — fast, efficient, and high quality. Breakfast was another highlight, with a wide variety of choices and top-notch food quality. We enjoyed drinks at the bar & lounge, where I had what might be one of the best cocktails I’ve ever tasted — the Signature of Bucharest, if I recall the name correctly. We also visited The Vault for more cocktails, and they were superb, with a perfect balance of flavors. The Vault is definitely worth a visit — it’s a truly special and atmospheric space. We also took time to enjoy the spa and swimming pool, both of which are beautifully designed. The sauna and hammam are spacious and relaxing. However, one downside was the presence of very noisy children in the spa area, which somewhat disrupted the experience. In my opinion, the spa should be an adults-only space to preserve its tranquil atmosphere.
We spent 11 days at this hotel in the last month. Because the hotel purports to be a five star hotel this review is from the perspective of that standard. We enjoyed our stay but respectfully speaking, it is not a five star hotel. There is one impressive, probably historically significant atrium space behind the front desk shown in all the photos of the hotel but one should not judge this hotel by that singular impressive lobby space, it is not reflective of the full look and feel of the hotel. We had mentioned we were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary but no mention was ever made of it. The front desk is small and not especially welcoming. Our one bedroom suite with balcony was modern and spacious, the bathroom large and nice, the linens and bed first rate but the walls and sofa were tired and the room was not adequately cleaned each day, dust accumulated under the furniture, the room seemed at times minimally tidied we are not sure the linens ever changed.. That is just not five star. The elevators were small and narrow, the swimming pool on the lower level was notably small, too small for the number of guests, and finding an attendant to provide a towel was not always easy. The gym was open 24/7 and that was a plus. We tried the buffet breakfast one morning and decided it wasn’t for us, the area has plenty of other alternatives. The hotel is tucked away on a side street in a great neighborhood but our terrace which otherwise would have been lovely overlooked only a crumbling ramshackle building across the street. All of that said, we loved our visit to Bucharest. If you have five star expectations for the hotel we think you will be disappointed but if you moderate your expectations to approx. 3.5 - 4 stars you are likely to also enjoy your stay.
