Wonderful Stay – Excellent Staff and Service I recently came to the London Marylebone Hotel for a work conference, and I was genuinely impressed. The staff were absolutely lovely — welcoming, helpful, and always happy to assist with anything we needed. Their professionalism and friendliness made a real difference throughout my stay. The hotel was well-prepared for the conference, and everything ran smoothly. During the event, we were served a buffet lunch which was absolutely delicious — fresh, well-presented, and with a great variety of options. Overall, a fantastic experience. Would definitely recommend for both business and leisure stays!
I have stayed here twice and if in London again it will definitely be my choice. The rooms are very comfortable but a little small for my taste. The staff is absolutely amazing and love the cozy lounges and their diverse menus. The location is phenomenal. And for you gym buffs, they have access to a great facility from within the hotel premises, although can get a bit crowded, but you can get your workout done.
This hotel is not worth the cost and in hindsight I would have just paid more for one with better service - had I known. When you’re already spending a lot of money on a trip, you don’t want a low quality hotel to lessen the overall experience. We knew we were extremely early to check in and we “hoped” we could get in even slightly earlier (2, 2:30 pm, nothing outrageous). The initial check-in was great, we were told that we would be set on “priority” with the cleaning service once the guests in the room were out and we would also be called when the room was ready. The rooms are so small, it did not take 3 hours to clean, we received no phone call even at 3 pm (the first person wrote it at the top of our check-in document and they offered to call us, we didn’t even ask for it) and the bags we would have just asked to take them up ourselves, as we waited nearly 20 minutes trying to get them so we can SLEEP since we dropped the bags 6.5 hours ago and had no sleep the evening before. Management should have staff set actual expectations. If it’s low priority and guests will never get a call, and check in will NEVER be before 3 pm, don’t mention or offer it as we did not ask for either. It’s clear that no one wants to go the extra mile for guests who are sleep deprived and they’d rather just say things that they don’t intend to do, which is frustrating. There are management missed opportunities for guests and it’s clear why they are 4.4 stars for a “5-star hotel”. Many other hotels are 4.6+ stars, several less expensive too. We told our travel agent to take this hotel off their list, as we would never recommend it and only did because they had to us. The Hilton in NYC was far superior last week, which says a lot. UPDATE: “False alarm” fire alarm at 2 am on Saturday. Must just be normal as the staff acted like it was no big deal as everyone had left their room in a daze.
