Visited Sale to attend the Turner in Australia Exhibition and stayed two night at the Matador Motel. Dallas checked us in and was very welcoming. Although the rooms are on the older side they are spotlessly clean. There was a great fridge with a decent size freezer in the room along with all the usual amenities. Breakfast was included (Continental) and was plentiful. Carol and the other two staff who assisted with the breakfast service were very friendly and helpful and gave suggestions for sight seeing and dining. The bonus was that everything was a short walk from the Motel. Highly recommend the Matador Motel and will stay there again when I return to Sale.
We had a lovely overnight stay at the Matador. Nice room with a comfy bed and everything else we needed. A great Continental breakfast is included with a generous selection of things topped off with a top quality coffee (or tea) Walking distance to everything.
A terrific motel in a perfect central location very close the Port of Sale, the Lake, botanical gardens and shopping. Lots of great places to eat close by. We were treated with friendliness from the first hello on the phone to our goodbye. The older style room was clean and the bed so comfy. Bathroom was renovated. The free daily breakfast was such a great start to the day. Will definitely be staying at the Matador again!
