I had an exceptional stay at The Melbourne Hotel Perth. From the moment I walked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The hotel beautifully balances its historic charm with modern amenities—every detail feels thoughtfully curated. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with a very comfortable bed and luxurious touches throughout. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere despite being in such a central location. It's within walking distance of great restaurants, shops, and public transport. Dining at the hotel's restaurants was also a highlight. Whether you're after a quick bite or a more refined experience, there's something for every taste. Highly recommend The Melbourne Hotel for anyone visiting Perth—whether for business or leisure, it’s a standout option that delivers on comfort, style, and service.
We booked a small function for my wife's 40th birthday and couldn't be happier with our choice of The Melbourne Hotel. We started with drinks at the rooftop bar—great atmosphere and stunning views—then moved downstairs to the Grand Orient for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was attentive throughout. We also stayed overnight, and the rooms were neat, tidy, and very comfortable. Overall, the service, quality, and location were all outstanding. Highly recommend for a special occasion or a weekend getaway!
Stayed in a Raw Heritage Room for one night. It has a nice 'old meets new' charm to it BUT no door on the bathroom so there is no privacy at all. The toilet is in this bathroom too, again no door and no exhaust fan above the toilet. The fridge wasn't cooling which was probably something to do with it overheating in the cupboard it was in. The light in the alcove above the fridge (where the coffee machine sits) couldn't be turned off so we wedged pillows in there to try and block out the light! The location was perfect for an event at RAC Arena so we would stay here again for this reason but in one of the modern rooms next time, if the price matches or is less than somewhere else close by.
