The Meretto Hotel Laleli

As a couple we loved our stay here. The staff are wonderful, with great knowledge of the city, accommodated us with an early check in and had an airport shuttle sorted for us in the early hours of the morning. The breakfast was also great with a wide selection at a buffet. Located near a main intersection with easy access to trams and buses. When we come back we will 100% be staying here again.

It was a beautiful experience to say at Meretto. The connectivity of Yenekapi to rest of Istanbul is amazing. The boys who work at the hotel, the one at the reception (who speaks very good English), Ali and the other two as well were extremely helpful throughout our trip specially when someone stole my wallet in one of the trams. Despite having communication difficulties, they helped me and my husband with everything and beyond. The breakfast at the hotel is amazing and will fill you up for the entire day and the cleaning is spot on and on a daily basis. Although we had a bit of a unfortunate experience in the public transport, the folks at the Meretto hotel really made us believe in the hospitality and care of people of Istanbul. Special mention to the uncle who helped us with detailed directions to reach the hotel in the first place. Loved the entire experience at Meretto. 10/10 Recommended.

We had a great stay at The Meretto Hotel Laleli and the staff were a huge reason for our positive experience. All the staff from front of house, kitchen and cleaners were welcoming, approachable and accommodating, and showed great hospitality and interest in our experience along the way. We had a triple single room, which could be a little bigger. It seemed tight at first but once we sorted our luggage and gave everything a place, it was a good, tidy space and great for what we needed - somewhere to bed down and pop in for a midday nap. But I would probably go for a double and single next time. The location was fab, less than 5 minutes from the tram station and bus stops. Watch out for early morning pick pockets on the tram - ladies wearing face masks/ scarves across their mouths. The location was also great for walking. A 15 minute walk in any direction gives you plenty to explore. The hotel is also 5 minutes walk from Pertevniyal masjid (beautiful blue interior) and Laleli masjid (pink interior). For anyone with mobility issues, there are about 6 steep steps up to enter the hotel but the hotel can advise on accomodations. The breakfast was fresh and the seating was nice, with a view. There could be more variety - there were new dishes on the day we were leaving. The area is lively. There are fans from a building opposite which is noisy but we were fine with it all. The hotel offers airport transfers as an add-on. Would definitely return as we felt we were in safe hands during our stay. Teşekkürler!
