The Met Hotel Leeds Newly Refurbished

Glorious old hotel that is under an impressive refurbishment . Great sized room with very up to date facilities . I was warned the AC in the whole hotel was not yet functional but room was still comfortable . Breakfast was freshly cooked to order, delicious and very generous . I would definitely stay here again as the staff really made me feel welcome .

Nice hotel in the city centre, currently undergoing a major renovation - drilling started at 8:15 so don't expect a lay in! Very friendly staff, but the hotel itself is tired and in need of serious redecoration (which I assume is tied to the renovation underway). No air con and a dribble of a shower are cons, but spacious rooms are a big plus. Has an extremely small car park, not even enough space to turn a medium sized car around, so be very careful of parking on site, the walls carry the scuffs of a thousand cars.

This hotel is in a lovely location and it's got lots of potential, it looks like great thing coming with the new refurbishment. I'd say customer service is not the best as I was concerned about noise in the evening to a lady who showed no empathy and told me typically people that stay here on weekends go out on the weekend. At the end there was no noise in the evening but a more reassuring solution -orientated approach would be more useful than a 'if you can't beat them join them'
