This is an eclectic hotel, and we loved it. The shared kitchen is outside. Our room was more like the guest room at grammas, but it was lovely and comfortable. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were provided. I would stay again
Stayed here on the last night in Tasmania in late March recently. It is an old building converted into a small motel. The hall ways and pictures/decorations on the way gave it a fell like a B&B. Room was clean and the owner was kind to spend some time to suggest where to visit and eat. The carpark is behind the building and has a gate so have to stop at the roadside first to check-in and the owner then opened the gate. On leaving early the next day there was a slight problem getting the gate to open but no big deal
At $104 it was okay for 1 night. Wouldn't pay anymore than that though Heating is disappointing as the Dyson Hot and Cold fan was struggling to keep the room warm on a below 0 degree night, was considering going to Kmart to buy a cheap heater to keep warm. The electric blankets saved the night though The bed was too firm, once again was okay for one night but wouldn't stay there longer. The bathroom door doesn't close because the door is too big for the frame. No fan in the bathroom and noticed some mould on the ceiling. Outdated TV with no smart features. Would only recommend if you have no other option or if you're on a budget and it's around $100 otherwise spend the extra money and go somewhere with proper heating+aircon, couldn't imagine how bad it would be on a hot day in the middle of summer. Free parking and the host was nice and helpful though. Don't know how it's 4 star.
