The Mezzo

Firstly, I'd definitely book again! Great value for money for what you get. Cheap accommodation within minutes of the city centre. Rooms are a great size, with really comfy beds, a sofa, desk, large shower room and fitting kitchenette (microwave, 2 hobs, toaster, kettle, fridge with mini freezer, pots and pans, cups and glasses). I really like the idea of breakfast, it was just got down to reception between 6:30-10:30 and grab a coffee and croissant 🥐 great idea for either breakfast on the go or just a light bite. Parking is available below the hotel, you have to go into reception and let them know as you'll need a key card to open the garage/metal door. When exiting on checkout, their is a key card drop box as you drive out. Would book again if I were to stay in Nottingham again. 🙌🏼✨

Wonderful hotel and usually the best value and biggest rooms for hotels in Nottingham, rooms even have their own kitchen. Been a genuinely lovely place to stay every time and would recommend it. Rooms are starting to look a bit worn out and damaged on recent visits. Breakfast has been cut down a lot since it opened. All in would still recommend though. Just need a system to reserve parking with them.

Checked in for the first time into a room that was occupied and unclean. Indifferent attitude and weird vibes but they apologized and gave us the room right next to it. Bed linens smell like mildew that seeped all the way to the mattress. I called for new sheets/blanket and she said she’ll check and call back but never did. Toilet flush is so weak and barely worked. Woke up to sounds of drilling over our head and soon after to housekeeping shouting in the hallway for a good 5 minutes. Then shower water temperature was inconsistent and water was splashing all out onto the floor, no type of curtain or door. Housekeeping then WALKED IN before our checkout time asking if we’re done. Walked down to checkout and the hallway was lined with garbage bags and one of the elevators was out of service. I will say that it is quiet at night apart from a crying baby next door. They got air conditioning (AC) which is good too. I don’t see myself staying at this hotel ever again. Needs new management.
