Had my son's and daughter in law wedding here... All I can say it was perfect... The staff, food and hotel was amazing... Best wedding reception I've ever been to... Thank you Midland... My daughter worked here when it first reopened and my Auntie when it was originally the old Midland Hotel... A true jewel in Morecambe... Thank you to you all for a perfect wedding
We enjoyed a Sunday lunch in the Midland overlooking Morecambe Bay. The food was excellent and service prompt and friendly. While the wonderful architecture of the hotel takes one back to the 1930’s and one half expects to see Poirot sitting in the lounge there was another feature which impressed more. The Hotel management are to be commended on recruiting and training a remarkable group of young people to serve in the restaurant. They were helpful, professional, friendly and efficient. As someone who, back in the day worked with young people, it was a real joy to see. Congratulations!
A great place to stay We saw the midland years ago before it was reopened and had been meaning to go back and finally did. Outstanding location, plenty of parking. Really interesting rooms, superbly friendly staff and very excellent food - in particular the venison, slow braised beef, hummus and we heard lots of positives from other guests with other dishes plus breakfast was also cooked to order with lots of choice and great quality The only reason for the dropped star is that the building is in need of some work. The exterior needs a repair and refresh and the dining room whilst hugely impressive with its views out to see is evidently suffering at the moment and when the wind gets up, the top floor suites can be noisy - but the views are worth it
