The Mill at Conder Green

Stayed here for work, the staff are really nice and polite, the service here is excellent, the rooms are very clean, comfortable and well serviced. Food wise, the breakfast choice is good and the evening main menu is excellent, with good quality food and decent portions. The location is in a very quiet rural area next to a canal. The noisiest things at night are the occasional owls and pheasants. Great 😃.

The food was amazing as were the beds. The bathroom had mold and no shower mat, the shower curtain was too short so water went everywhere. When I spoke to the staff about the bathroom issues they were dismissive of them rather than apologetic. The wait time for reception, bar and table service was far too long as was the wait time between courses. But despite the issues we will be back as the food and beds and view from the room were amazing.

This place is not 4 stars! I was lured there by good looking pictures but the place is max 2 stars. A horrible breakfast (poor quality and actually disgusting English breakfast..) is served which is supposed to be served 8-10am, but according to the receptionist, you must come at 8:45 at least, otherwise you won't get anything. Ridiculous. Window broken in the room and no chance to open it. Room was freezing when we came in- nobody bothered to turn on the heating for us beforehand. Old and run down bathroom with flush barely working. I hated it.
