The hotel has some nice aspects, but overall, my experience was mixed. The bungalow I stayed in had a serious bug problem: mosquitoes everywhere, plus a lizard on the ceiling. I couldn’t even sleep properly because of it. The room was basic and honestly could use better maintenance. Definitely not ideal for light sleepers or anyone who isn’t a fan of insects. On the positive side, the service was decent and the staff were polite, even if they seemed a bit overwhelmed. I asked a waiter for a glass of Coca-Cola, and it took about 20 minutes to arrive. It felt like they might be short on glasses, since they seemed to be rotating a small number between guests (hopefully washed well in between). The food was okay, nothing amazing, but not bad either. However, the restaurant is too small for the number of tourists — half the guests had to sit at the bar area, and we barely found a free table ourselves. The best part was the location, which was quite convenient and peaceful. With a bit more attention to cleanliness, pest control, and better restaurant organization, this hotel could easily be a 4-star experience. But for now, I’d say it’s a 3/5 at best. EDIT: I will lower my review from 3/5 to 2/5 stars because not only there wad a lizard in my room, but also a rat under my bed.

The resort is beautiful but is poorly maintained. We had a beautiful bungalow, but big bugs were entering the room through the space beneath the door. The pools, even though they are small as depth, they were a danger for the kids. For some reason they were all bleeding from their feet after playing in the pools. They needed to wear water shoes to stay safe. Same for the slippery surface around the pools. The food was decent both from a diversity and taste, but nothing to impress. The drinks are very low quality. Being an all inclusive resort you don't have the possibility to purchase better quality drinks...

We went in June of 2025 , we booked through a company called "ON THE BEACH" after looking at several other booking agents for hotel and resorts . We eventually found and booked. It was named "Iberostar selection Mirage Hammamet" .....,but now, not 3 weeks later after a barrage and multitude of complaints whilst we were on resort ,from us and no less than 27 other couples/families, of uk and European origin that we encountered and spoke to in depth , with customer service /Management and the booking agent -the hotel has been reverted back to its former name -here now on trip advisor "The Mirage resort and spa" ....and NOT "Iberostar selection Mirage Hammamet" . Curious indeed ! The reasons in short (which we can prove ,see photos) is 1) IT IS NOT AN IBEROSTAR HOTEL UNTIL DEC 2025 -see photos THEREFORE WE WERE MIS-SOLD THIS HOLIDAY- Fact ! 2) iT IS NOT A FIVE STAR HOTEL - see photos -5 STAR IN "2005"- 20 YEARS/2 DECADES AGO THERFORE WE WERE MIS-SOLD THIS HOLIDAY- FACT !! The claim it has been refurbished ? untrue only the reception & lobby area The facilities -Bars/restaurants/theatres were non existent or closed Albizia restaurant -closed for 2 weeks+ of our stay The theatre - closed for the first week then intermittent afterwards The Amber lounge was part of the "all inclusive" then became a" pay only" Bar after two weeks into our stay .see photos of information sheet provided at check-in Pool bar was closed until 8 days into our holiday the same bar is advertised as.. " Enjoy cocktails, refreshing drinks and snacks WITHOUT leaving the water" this is a blatant falsehood, totally untrue. Bar Buvette - did not exist . Beach bar- is NOT a beach bar it is some hundred feet or more from the beach so if you are old/infirm/mobility issues/disabled/have children this is not a convenience but it is another misleading mis selling deception ,as are all of the above . WIFI- is advertised which infers it is everywhere but the truth is it is in the room and reception only everywhere else has no wifi , this should be explained . Rooms - Shabby, are evidently 20 years old and the issues ,air con ,fridge ,drains ,toilet flushers ,sewerage, extractor fans is never ending and a complete health and safety nightmare. Telephones don't work so you walk to reception with every complaint and there are many also disastrous if there's an emergency. The grounds are full of workmans holes not cordoned off , no lighting ,health and safety issue. Staff in bars and restaurants- are seriously overworked ,underpaid and seriously in shortage therefore impacting massively on the quality of your holiday and services . Waiting for clean tables waiting for drinks ..... waiting for food ,........waiting waiting, waiting. Coffee machines in the bar and restaraunt constantly out of use constantly broken constantly NO COFFEE -great 5 star that is. The problems and issues are far too many to list here.........they go on and on and on. Sufficed to say we have audio and video recordings of management and they too if necessary will be used in the claim and/or court if a resolution is not agreed The customer service and management were sent several emails and whatsapp invitations to discuss and reply to all of the above issues whilst we were in resort and decided instead to make excuses ,ignore, avoid, dismiss and serve false promises of a meeting with the 27 couples/families which never came about but instead opted to wait until we returned home to DENY IN FULL all issues and problems raised in regards to EVERYTHING ABOVE . The reason for this is clear -they could NOT defend the indefensible and overwhelming video /photographic and audio evidence we and all the other people had gathered. We will be filing a claim against the booking agent as our contract is with them and they are responsible for ensuring that the product they are selling is as advertised and as mentioned before ,factually it is NOT a five star Hotel for all the reasons given and more. We note: "ON THE BEACH" are still advertising this hotel as an IBEROSTAR which according to i
