The Montagu Arms Hotel

A really lovely place to stay, good car park lovely gardens, and a characterful hotel. The staff are welcoming and excellent, rooms are well appointed and we had a very comfy bed. Had a nice meal at Monty’s. The breakfast buffet is excellent with plenty choice of quality fruits cheeses, breads, meats, everything. We really enjoyed our visit it exceeded our expectations

We chose the Montagu Arms for our intimate wedding last month and what a magical day it was. The courtyard room we had for two nights was absolutely beautiful and made for the nicest and most relaxing place to get ready in the morning. The grounds and gardens are absolutely stunning, and provided us with the space to entertain our guests all afternoon (including 11 children!). The Oakwood Room looked beautiful with a mixture of my own decor and flowers by Jo Hicks. The staff were brilliant and very attentive. They made sure every detail was just as we wanted it to be so thank you for that. My only bugbear was the cost of the children’s meals - at £40 a head I found this extremely expensive for what they were given. However, everybody had the best day and will continue to talk about how perfect it was for years to come I’m sure. Thank you Clara and the Montagu for helping us create these treasured memories.

This place is amazing it's so lovely and I love the gardens you can tell the staff really care about the place and put the effort in to keeping it clean and tidy. The food is amazing and it has a fantastic breakfast menu. We can't recommend it enough! Olaf made it that little bit special and was so sweet to my son we came for his birthday which is all he wanted was to spend it here. Thank you to all the staff for making our weekend special x
