The Moorland Hotel Haytor Devon

We stayed here for a three-night break with dinner and breakfast included. Our room was lovely and spacious, with a massive "queen" bed, and double doors opening on to a terrace. All the food we had was very tasty and beautifully presented. The tomahawk pork chops were the best we've ever had, and the salmon (from Brixham) I had on the Thursday was excellent. The staff were very friendly and professional, and a waitress called Emma was very engaging and helpful when my wife asked about a feature she had seen on Google Maps. Emma went and fetched her own phone and looked up the feature on her Ordnance Survey app.

I had a wonderful experience at this beautiful location! The outstanding food, and Carly's presence and exceptional service made my visit even more special. She went above and beyond to ensure every detail was attended to, and her dedication really stood out. I highly recommend this place for a visit and stay—there's absolutely nothing negative to say about it!

This is lovely hotel. It is well maintained, very attractive, and comfortable. The food is of a good standard with some great flavours. The room, although on the small side, was very well furnished, with a wonderful large comfortable bed. No problem sleeping here! The people who work here are brilliant and very attentive. The decaf coffee is very very good, and it's not often I say that!! This is a place I would definitely come back to
