The Mortimer Arms

We booked a table on The Mortimer Arms website, although being a Sunday evening at 7.30pm this wasn’t required as we found the pub fairly quiet. Service was impeccable and we were greeted and shown to our table immediately. We ordered drinks which all arrived within a couple of minutes. For food, we ordered two steaks and a Sunday roast chicken - all arrived within 10/15 minutes are were delicious. We finished with desserts. Certainly not the cheapest pub/restaurant in the area, but the service, food, and ambiance means a 5/5 for us. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Warm and friendly staff, good quality and comfortable rooms, good quality food. Stayed here for work, stay in a lot of different hotels although normally chain ones such as Premier Inn, but have got fed up with them recently so looking to stay and discover some better options. Nice warm welcome to hotel, great comfortable bedroom decent quality bed. Breakfast was of a very decent quality, once again with the warm friendly staff serving. Would happily stay here again if I am back down this way in the future.

Last minute stay for two nights with 2 big dogs when our campervan broke down. Such a friendly feel to this place. Patrick and the lady cooking breakfast, plus the two girls working when we arrived could not have been nicer or more accommodating. A lovely stay due to the lovely staff. Thank you
