Had Sunday lunch here while holidaying in the area - loved the atmosphere and the decor, the staff and service are top notch and the food awesome! Husband and son had a wonderful roast dinner, I went for the slow cooked duck salad and we all had desserts. Delicious and well presented. Brilliant meal and experience from start to finish, thanks to everyone concerned for making this a holiday highlight for us!! Add in the beautiful surrounding countryside and it's a great way to spend your Sunday!
Stayed one night to break up a trip. Rooms were great, very spacious and comfortable, lots of character. Dinner was delicious, can fully recommend the chicken supreme. Good selection of well kept ales. Staff all super. The local area is stunning, direct access onto canal side path which is a lovely walk to the aqueduct about a mile way. Can fully recommend and hope to visit again.
Came here for our anniversary meal, very lovely looking pub and we were excited for our trip. The service was rushed and unwelcoming, our food arrived quickly but the meal was very cold and bland. Neither of us finished our food. We felt rushed by staff as if they wanted us in and out quickly. i’ve never left a review before but felt this one was necessary :(
