We’ve stayed at The New York Edition twice now, and both times we were greeted by Paola at the front desk. She’s one of those people who just makes you feel welcome right away. Super professional, kind, and really on top of everything. She made sure we were taken care of from the minute we walked in. We also want to mention Benito from guest services. He was great. Very polite, friendly, and eager to help. The hotel itself is beautiful. The room was comfortable with awesome views of Madison Square Park and the Empire State Building. The location is perfect too right in the Flatiron area, with tons of restaurants and shops around. This spot has become a favorite for us in the city.

Pros: The rooms, service and location were all good! The view from the room was the best part. Check in and check out were smooth and quick. Cons: Felt a little overpriced for how dingy the corridors were though, and the bathroom and gym and other amenities were unremarkable, wherein I’ve seen better at less fancy hotels in NYC. Most importantly, the elevators took forever to come every day of my visit, delaying transit to work in the morning regularly.

The location was good. My room has a good space and a nice view. Only issues were such a poor services in the restaurant and a front desk person when I checked out. I need to look for my waitress to get my attention and get more coffee. When I checked out, a front desk person was super rude. Never asked me how was my stay. Almost ready to kick me out right away. This is less than one star service by any means. The management needs to teach him how to be polite instead of his stuck-up attitude to look me down. I do not recommend this hotel. I am an ambassador member of Marriott and this was one of my worst experiences by Marriott hotels
