The Oberoi Cecil Shimla

The Oberoi Cecil exceeded my expectations! The hospitality was exceptional - every staff member was eager to help and made us feel like royalty. The room was beautifully appointed, and the views were stunning. The pool and hot tub were perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Shimla. The location is unbeatable, with the Mall Road and other attractions within easy reach. Overall, a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend The Oberoi Cecil to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable experience in Shimla.

Mesmerizing Experience. We came for a quick lunch on our way to Kandaghat near Shimla. The moment we stepped in, everything was a bliss. From a royal welcome, to an exquisite dining experience, everything was just so perfect. Will truly recommend everyone to come here and experience the grandeur of the Oberoi. Attached are some pictures taken with the team at the restaurant. They were really professional and very welcoming. 7 stars to their service.

Here is my experience at this Hotel. First of all when I called them to book 2 rooms, they told me they are sending me link to secure payment and I should receive the link in 30 minutes which never happened. They sent me a link after 3 hrs we checked in. I told them that we are celebrating my daughter’s 18th birthday both on the phone and when we reached the hotel. The lady told me that they will decorate the room and arrange a cake later in the evening. While returning from Mall road we all were super excited to see the decorated room but this never happened. I was so mad at these people coz that’s what my 18 year old was expecting. Very bad service. Next day I fell in their bathtub due to flimsy bath tub mat. Only we were offered Dr assistance and no discount on our stay. Dr can’t take the pain away from me. I suffered bruise and swelling. I didn’t have time as I am from US otherwise I would have filed a lawsuit. We booked 2 rooms, the toiletries were not same in both rooms even though they were both deluxe rooms. One of the room didn’t have shower gel. I don’t expect this from a 5 star hotel. If you didn’t want to decorate our room why did you say that in front of my 18 year old who was looking forward for this surprise. They should have offered some sort of discount due to the injury that happened due to their flimsy very thin anti slip mat. Your apology won’t take my pain, bruise and swelling away. Stay away from this place. Never coming back.
