The Okura Prestige Taipei

This hotel was absolutely amazing. We stayed there for 4 nights at the beginning of our holiday and one night at the end. From the moment we arrived the staff were so attentive and friendly. The rooms were lovely with a large bath, perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring Taipei. The hotel is very central and close to the MRT station.

Good location, not too far from MRT about 5-minute walking distance. Many Family Marts nearby including 7-Eleven and shopping malls. Staff is great with a very good service mind. Room is spacious and clean. Bathroom and toilet are separated which is good once staying with another person. Importantly, strong WiFi connection. Very delicious Pineapple Cake in Origami style package and also the beautiful Origami bird on the beds for welcome. Recommended!!

Disappointing service at a supposedly 5-star establishment. When I ordered food delivery to my room, I simply asked to borrow some basic utensils and a bowl. The staff refused, citing "environmental concerns" as their excuse. 😂 The irony? Their refusal forced me to go out and purchase a pack of disposable plastic cutlery from a convenience store - hardly eco-friendly! If they truly cared about sustainability, lending reusable items would have been the obvious solution. So it’s nothing more than a lame excuse. For the premium prices they charge, the level of customer service is shockingly poor. Basic hospitality seems optional here. A genuinely accommodating hotel would have easily fulfilled such a simple request instead of hiding behind flimsy excuses. Will not be returning and cannot recommend.
