The Old Bridge Inn Holmfirth West Yorkshire

My room was a little old fashioned but clean and comfortable. The en suite bathroom is fine if a little small but to make up for it the building has bags of charm, the staff are extremely nice and the place is easy to find and well located with a lovely bar downstairs. For the price I can't really grumble and would definitely come back.

The Old Bridge has a certain amount of charm, and the bar area is really cosy. The rooms, although small, we're adequate for an overnight stay. One thing we noticed in my sons room, though, was the amount of dust on the surface next to the bed, a bit of a letdown We loved the restaurant. The food was excellent. My son had a burger, and my wife had the pie, my venison was done to perfection, and the cheesecake was amazing 👏 Unfortunately the dust problem reared its head again. The windowsill was thick in it. Breakfast was excellent, I love the pots for the coffee & tea and the little pots of jam and marmalade 😍 Overall, apart from the dust problem, we had a very enjoyable stay.

The Old Bridge Inn is in a great location in the centre of town. Parking is free, I initially missed the turn into the car park and due to the large number of roadworks in the area had to circle round town. Parking spaces are a good size and the car park is safe. The room I stopped in was at the top off the inn and was small and very hot. There was a velux window, which we kept open for airflow, however, this lets a lot of light into the room and makes it noisy with traffic and building works. The bathroom in the room was fine. The shower is one of the worst I have ever had. The water pressure was terrible and water temperature fluctuates from scalding hot to freezing cold. Food was good, I had a Sunday lunch and portions sizes were really good, with lots of meat. Service was great and all staff were helpful and welcoming.
