We had the most wonderful stay - excellent location for being a short drive to Cambridge, Duxford or Stansted airport. Les is the most attentive but respectful host you could ask for and the b&b is so thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was very clean and tidy but felt homely - Les has left plenty of information on the local area to read and recommendations for food, activities and a taxi service. The real highlight had to be the breakfast that Les prepared - it was part of the reason we chose to book and did not disappoint! What an absolute joy to have a breakfast like that after arriving late from a flight. Les also catered to my partner's nut allergy with no problem. I really couldn't be more complimentary of Les and the b&b and would highly recommend to anyone needing to stay in the area. NB: There is parking, shower pressure is brilliant and there is a hair dryer. The kitchen also is well stocked with condiments/tea etc.
My partner and I stayed here very briefly for one night and we wished we could’ve stayed longer. Les was fantastically accommodating especially of our late arrival and early departure, making a delicious, freshly-cooked breakfast. The accommodation itself had everything we needed and more and was more like a home-from-home than a hotel room. Would strongly recommend for anyone wishing to stay in the area.
Stayed here to attend a wedding at beautiful Sheen mill. Lovely little private garden with veranda and furniture so lovely to sit out in the evening. Big lounge and fully equipped kitchen so great for longer stays. Les is a diamond 10/10 for hosting skills. Breakfast is amazing with everything you could want including his own smoked salmon, pastries, fresh fruit salad, rolls and more - delicious! Les does a 'turn down ' in the evening which is a nice touch ( I'm sure he wouldn't if you preferred him not to). I'd prefer a sofa to chairs but that's personal taste. Some furniture is a bit tired but it's seems Les is renovating bit by bit so lovely new bathroom and toilet. Comfy bed and white fluffy towels supplied. Quirky is how I would describe it but very clean, comfy and super friendly helpful host. Would stay again. Dinner at the dolphon pub was ok and great butchers/deli in the village.
