The Old Manse of Blair

Our room was small but perfect in terms of sleep quality and in-room items like TV and bathroom. Terrific in fact. Just a bit on the small side considering the cost. The restaurant at dinner and breakfast was excellent. A small choice for A La Carte but something for everyone and sprinkled with Local and Quality Scottish ingredients. Scallops from the Isle of Sky none the less! All in all a fabulous stay and will definitely be back.

The house and grounds are beautiful with Highland cows grazing out the front door. Restaurant seems like a greenhouse - all windows and glass ceiling. Breakfast and dinner are multi-couse and locally sourced. Stayed in Estate room. First thing you notice is the huge bathtub. Bed was very comfortable. Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again if we are back this way.

We were greeted by a wonderful host named Shayne who made us feel especially cared for after we traveled for hours, last minute, to this hotel due to another hotel nightmare! We loved our room in the main house, decorated superbly, and the glass of wine Shayne poured for us before our stay. We woke to pretty views of the horse, pony, cattle, and fields. We waited a while for breakfast and were not thrilled with it or the service, honestly! But Angus, our waiter was really friendly. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area... super chill with a castle and pretty hiking trails. The following morning we were less thrilled with the breakfast and service and decided this hotel is lovely but the breakfast part is in need of improvement:)
