The Old Post Office

Old post office was the perfect overnight getaway. It's easily located and accessible using own or public transport travelling from Manchester as I did on my visit. I was greeted with a hot cup of tea which was very welcome. Hosts are incredibly helpful, kind and knowledgeable about local area. They really want you to enjoy your time in hayfield. Breakfast was fantastic and kept me fuelled all day. Rooms may seem basic, but with views of surrounding hills and a comfy mattress (single room) I couldn't have been happier. Thanks to John & Joan for a really enjoyable stay. Would highly recommend and plan to visit in future.

Highly recommend staying here!!! The couple that run it are so lovely and welcoming and as soon as we walked through the door we where made to feel at home!! The room we stayed in was great with very comfortable bed and lovely view from the windows! Then there was the amazing full English breakfast!! Locally sourced ingredients and great service!! Would definitely stay again!!

Lovely place to stay with wonderful hosts. Breakfast was excellent, room was comfy with a nice view, including some sheep! Felt very well looked after. Good location for visiting Castleton, with a scenic drive through Winnats pass. There are also a couple of pubs within walking distance!
