The Old Vicarage

Roddy & Kristen the best hosts. The Old Vicarage rooms are lovely, very clean, lovely decor. Breakfast was amazing as usual ( A full Scottish) amazing place to stay with views of the Yorkshire countryside.

Wonderful stay at this lovely B&B We arrived early planning to walk before our check in time but torrential rain spoilt our plans However fortunately our room was ready for us and we were made extremely welcome and shown to a lovely room. It had two lovely armchairs a very comfortable bed homemade cookies fresh milk and a proper wardrobe- not one of the flimsy hanging racks that you find elsewhere. The hosts are so friendly and knowledgeable about the area they will give you lots of tips on walks where to visit and where to eat. The breakfasts are amazing Kisteen makes a special porridge with a fruit coulis and granola that is out of this world. She also makes her own jams and Roddy cooks the perfect Scottish breakfast. The village is lovely with a local friendly pub a few yards away and the renowned Wensleydale heifer for good exceptional food. We will definitely be returning thank you for a lovely stay

Highly recommend this place. It is beautifully clean and the views are brilliant. There is a little pub close by which is also very friendly and do good food. Kirsteen and Roddy are the perfect hosts. Her homemade biscuits and jams are excellent and so are the breakfasts. This couple cannot do enough to make you safe from covidand Kirsteen is a book of information of the area and places to go. We are totally relaxed and look forward to going back
