✨ Our stay at The Omni Homestead was truly magical. From the moment we arrived, we felt transported to a place full of charm, history, and warmth. The property is breathtaking, with stunning grounds and a timeless elegance that makes every corner feel special. The service was outstanding, every staff member we encountered was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. Whether it was enjoying the beautiful scenery, relaxing in the different pools, or simply soaking in the atmosphere, everything about our visit exceeded expectations. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and savor the experience. We left with unforgettable memories and can’t wait to return. A truly magical getaway. ✨
The resort is gorgeous and the experiences are awesome. We enjoyed the carriage ride with Matt and everyone at the equestrian center was helpful and kind. The warm springs are off property, but worth it. It was a very unique experience. The outdoor and indoor pools were fun. It is an incredibly old property, but our bathroom door wouldn’t close. Not great if you enjoy privacy in the bathroom. We also found that it seemed understaffed at many times. Getting a drink at dinner was a chore. Eventually I just ordered doubles and asked for the check extra early. The service side of things - the stuff care free experience we love at other Omni properties - was lacking. We were told that it was one of the busiest seasons they’ve ever had, but it never felt crowded at all, which made for a very relaxing trip.
My wife and I came for a weekend retreat. The hotel is a grand old place that has been kept up well. The food and drinks were good, and we enjoyed the shops, spa, golf course, and other amenities. The service was lacking, which was surprising at this price point. We arrived on a busy Friday evening in the middle of a conference and a wedding party. Some folks had to wait in their cars for 10-15 minutes just for the valets to clear enough space to pull up. Our room wasn’t ready until after 5 p.m., more than an hour past check in time, and I got tired of waiting for staff to bring our luggage and went and got it myself. After all of these issues caused by a logistical crunch, front desk staff had the audacity to tell me “we had no idea everyone would show up all at once.” You mean you didn’t have reservations for all these guests and they just showed up out of the blue? Guests of a conference that was surely planned months in advance? A hotel is literally the only business where you absolutely do know how many folks are supposed to show up to stay the night. The Homestead simply has trouble providing enough staff for a five star experience. One of the robes in our room was stained and we only got one bar of soap that we had to transfer between the sink and the shower. This is a great place to relax for a weekend but you better hope they’re not busy because they don’t staff appropriately and then they act surprised when all the guests with reservations show up at check in time.
