The Ormond At Tetbury

Let’s start with check in. Fantastic service by the lady at reception Lucy. She was very welcoming and showed us to our room. The room was cozy and comfortable and it was nice to have windows for air ventilation. The bathroom was a little compact but clean. The rooms were comfortable and clean in summary, offering for a comfortable stay. Lucy was also super helpful in recommendations to where we could take a drive to, and what town or region we could explore. It made our experience even better! Also, the restaurant was pretty decent, and the overall service of the hotel was fabulous. Finally, the location was perfect. It was in the center of Tetbury, near plenty of shops, stores, and restaurants and it was close to plenty of cute old village towns as well. Definitely recommend!!

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a lovely time. Staff were really accommodating and kind. Room was lovely, although there was a smell of damp that we couldn’t get rid of, had the window open for the majority of our stay and bathroom fan on. The hotel itself is lovely and the restaurant/bar area is especially well done. We had a glass of Prosecco included which was a nice touch, and breakfast, which was as can be expected. Typical full English. Despite the other reviews, we found parking easy. Can park outside of the hotel from 6pm-8am, and during the day the 3hours+ car park is c. 6-7min walk away, although it would be uphill on the way back to the hotel. We would definitely recommend and will be back!

The family room that we booked had potential except there was a party in the courtyard that was extremely loud until midnight and so if you are a traveling family with kids, I cannot recommend this hotel. Tetbury was beautiful and so are the local business owners. Such a shame our night was ruined due to noise from bar and restaurant at the bottom of the hotel that does not close until midnight.
