This is a dog-friendly pub with plenty of parking and a lovely, spacious garden out back – perfect for your furry friends. Our experience, from booking a large group of 15 to enjoying our meal, was fantastic. The staff were incredibly accommodating, seating us all comfortably in a private function room. The Sunday roast carvery is a must try. There was a wide choice of meats (beef, pork, lamb, turkey) and even a vegan nut roast. Coupled with a huge assortment of vegetables and three types of potatoes, everyone was delighted with their meal. Perfect Sunday day out. Highly, highly recommended

What a great place to stay and eat. We were here with a group of walkers and were very well looked after by Chris, Debbie and their team, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spacious, clean and well furnished. The beds were very comfortable. Add to this a good breakfast cooked to order, a morning joke from Chris and you get one of the best nights we have had so far on the South West Coast Path. Even if you don't stay here, it's well worth coming for food and a drink. The place has lots of character, a great garden area including kids adventure playground and some shelters in case the weather is not that great. There are a good choice of beers, cider and food.

Wonderful experience . Long journey to holiday , with shopping etc. We were delighted to be offered a seat at 8.30 pm. lovely , historic pub. Staff were super polite , friendly & helpful . We had the sharing charcuterie platter for starters... wow ! Followed by the burgers . Quality & flavour of everything , amazing ! We waddled back to the accommodation , more than satisfied . Locals very friendly here , too. Great venue . Recommended. Thank you for making the start of our holiday in your lovely village , so special.
