The Parkgate Hotel

My partner and I had a fantastic experience at the Parkgate Hotel. We booked a spa package and were thoroughly impressed. The spa itself was excellent and the perfect way to relax. Afterward, we enjoyed a delicious two-course meal at the Sorting Room restaurant. The food was fantastic, and our server, Giovanna, was absolutely amazing—her service made our meal even more special. The hotel's location is super convenient, right in the city center. While the area outside felt a little unsettling, as soon as you step inside, the atmosphere is wonderful. We had a brilliant time and would highly recommend it!

We went to The Parkgate Hotel for the spa and evening meal package. The spa was very relaxing, the staff were very friendly and showed us where everything was that we needed. We then had a meal in the Sorting Room restaurant, the food was exquisite! We had a set menu, I could have eaten everything that was on the menu, it all sounded delicious! We were looked after by Mo, who was very attentive. We had just celebrated our 10 year anniversary and had a nice surprise of a complimentary celebration drink and a lovely little cake presented at the end of our meal. It was great to have such a lovely meal and be looked after by excellent and professional staff. Can not comment on the rooms, as sadly did not stay, but would definitely go back and would stay next time.

My husband and I stayed at the Parkgate Hotel the day after our wedding. It was a post-wedding treat from my mam and her partner and we had a very pleasant stay for our first night away as newly-weds. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was decent (although it was fairly small for what we paid), the bed was massive and very comfy, breakfast was delicious and there was a wide range to choose from (including gluten free options). The following morning, we had an amazing full body massage at the spa, which made us feel very relaxed before heading home. We also thought the complimentary water and apples in the lobby were a nice touch. The only thing that was a little disappointing is we thought we would’ve had a treat of some sort from the hotel as a way of congratulating us since we had just got married. We did inform the people working in reception and I also completed a query form about 2 weeks prior to our stay which I never received a reply to, despite the automated message saying that they aim to respond within 48 hours. Thought this was poor for a luxury hotel and this is something that definitely needs to be improved. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Would recommend and would return.
