The Peacock Inn

We had a fabulous night there on Saturday. Jack and the team were so welcoming. The food was frankly outstanding. We all had different starters and mains and each was incredible. Definitely ranks as one of the best meals we’ve had. The atmosphere was so lovely too. It was bustling without feeling too busy / loud. Would recommend without hesitation.

Fabulous dinner in this lovely village pub. Jack worked his socks off and his friendly and helpful personality enhanced the whole dining experience. Great wine choices and delicious food. So glad we now live close by so we can visit regularly. Also which is so nice that they have still kept a “pub” area rather than turning it over to all dining.

The Peacock Inn is a really charming gastropub in the Suffolk countryside. We began with non-alcoholic cocktails on the outside terrace, which were excellent, surprisingly creative and full of flavour. We had the set lunch menu and were really impressed; tasty, well-prepared dishes at a reasonable price. Service was warm and friendly, though a touch on the slow side. The interior is beautifully styled, creating a cozy atmosphere, though the lighting was a bit dim where we sat, which made us feel slightly tired after a while. Overall, it’s a very good spot and well worth a visit if you’re in the area looking for great food and drink.
