I stayed at The Pearl Hoi An Beach Resort & Spa and honestly didn’t want to leave! The resort is beautifully designed — peaceful, elegant, and steps away from a private stretch of beach. The rooms are spacious and clean with modern comforts, and waking up to the ocean breeze each morning was unbeatable. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful, always going out of their way to make the stay comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and varied, with both Western and Vietnamese options. The pool area was serene, and the beach bar cocktails hit the spot during sunset. It’s just a short ride into Hoi An Ancient Town, but far enough away to enjoy real tranquility. Perfect for couples, families, or anyone needing to recharge. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxed luxury stay in Hoi An. I’ll definitely be back!
Huge hotel. Our apartment was lovely and comfortable. Nice pool. Breakfast is a bit hectic, but lots of choice. Great service by Thu who took care of our requested gluten-free breakfast. Some empty restaurants and shops on the premises, but still enough places to get food and basic shopping. The attached cinema shows Hollywood movies in English, good airco in cinema - bring a top! Lovely little town at walking distance and an easy grab ride to hoi an old town.
This hotel is certainly big — in fact, it’s so big it almost feels like an apartment complex. On the plus side, the property is beautiful, the private beach is lovely, and the swimming pool is genuinely great. Unfortunately, the good news stops there. Breakfast is an adventure in patience and compromise. Coffee? Lukewarm. Menu? Limited. Some items seem to be permanently “out of stock.” Instead of air conditioning in the dining area, you get cooler fans — a nice touch if you enjoy warm, humid dining. For Muslim guests, there’s no halal counter, but plenty of pork. Indian guests? Despite being here in large numbers, there’s not a hint of Indian cuisine or even a single chicken dish in sight. The egg station features one lonely chef, working heroically, but still somehow managing to turn an omelette into a 20-minute wait. Outside food is not allowed, which would be fine if the hotel actually had a diverse or satisfying menu — but it doesn’t. So if you don’t like what’s on offer, your only option is to go hungry. They advertise a free shuttle service to the old town, but when I asked, it was “already full” and I was told to book for tomorrow — which is great advice, except I was only staying one day. The rule says you can book two hours in advance, and I asked four hours prior, yet still no luck. Service felt more fascinated with certain other nationalities, while seeming biased against Asians, including Indians and Middle Eastern guests. I personally saw early check-in being granted to others, yet it was refused to us under the same circumstances. The hotel is crowded, but “comfortable” isn’t the word that comes to mind — especially if you’re Indian or Muslim. There’s also a giant supermarket downstairs, which could be convenient… except it’s about 90% empty, so good luck finding what you actually need. In short, it’s a grand space with very little to back it up — like a big stage with no show. It simply doesn’t feel like a 5-star experience. Think before you book — especially if you’re Indian or Muslim.
