I don't usually write reviews but in this case I felt I needed to. We arrived in NYC Sunday last having booked another hotel online via booking.com,when we arrived at that original hotel the receptionist who was not one bit helpful informed us that booking.com had our reservation cancelled even though I had confirmation that we were booked in on my app. As you can imagine myself and my partner were completely stressed out ,it was for first time to NYC at we were due to stay 6 nights. My partner went onto Google and The Pearl Hotel came up as close to us. We pulled our luggage through the city and landes at The Pearl Hotel. My first impression was WOW so clean and it looked really nice. There was a male receptionist behind the desk, who I later found out his name was Red, I'd say he could see the look of stress all over our faces, he couldn't have been more helpful and immediately helped put us at ease. He booked us into the hotel for the 6 nights with breakfast included. The rooms are lovely, they get cleaned every day, they have gluten free options for breakfast and I have to say any staff we have met from receptionists, to door staff, cleaners and breakfast staff all greet you with a smile and are very professional. For anyone travelling to NYC the location is great and I honestly would highly recommend this hotel. And to the receptionist Red thank you so much we were blessed to have met you that night. Thank you . Fiona

We spent several days at the Pearl the week prior to Christmas. The location is ideal for walking or accessing public transportation. It was near all of the touristy stuff for the kids and at the same time close enough to walk to most Broadway shows and non-chain local restaurants. Despite being fairly close to some very busy areas, the rooms are incredibly quiet. Our room faced the street and I only heard one siren over the course of three nights. They have a complimentary wine hour. The rooms and bathroom were very clean and the water pressure was outstanding for New York. We did not drive into the city so I can't speak to parking. Overall, an excellent stay.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while we visited the city to see a couple shows. It's my new favorite Midtown hotel! The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was roomy, especially for a NYC hotel. The elevator was quick and we never had to wait long for it. The room was exceptionally quiet - we never heard the rooms around or above us, and street noise was a minimum with only the occasional siren. The bed was very soft and comfortable, and they provide robes, an umbrella (it was so nice that I thought about buying one from them), microwave, fridge and coffee maker in the room. They had free wine each evening and a coffee/snack area open 24 hours. The only downside was the continental breakfast was very minimal - mostly pastries, cereal and a pile of brown bananas. I would have expected something a little more. It was less than 10 minutes walk to any theater in the Broadway district. We ate at the Empire Steak House next to the hotel and it was fantastic! I can't wait to stay here again on our next trip!
