Proper village pub, that punches above it's weight. Good selection of beers, kept well. Friendly and hard working team, esp Ben the boss. They are dog and child friendly. Food is reliably good & there is plenty of space to eat indoors or outside, in their recently refurbished courtyard. In colder weather they have 2 open fires and space for having a drink if you're not dining, which is very welcome after a country walk. Would highly recommend 👌🏻
Lovey pub in the countryside food is lovely especially the Sunday roast, Which was nice and hot and a good size and was happy for me to swap my Cauliflower cheese for an extra Yorkshire instead! Staff was polite and friendly And not to forget they sell the best beer here Hawkstone larger and Cider hopefully they will stock the Hawkstone hedgerow and IPA soon :)
We, as a family have eaten here several times and was always pleased with the food, staff and prices. However this time, the staff were still as good and the food very nice, but we were disappointed at the lack of variety on menu and the smaller portions. All in all still a good meal in pleasant surroundings.
