The Pell Part of JdV by Hyatt

Great experience at The Pell! Went for a few day getaway with family and this was the perfect place for us. The entire place was immaculately clean, pet friendly and staff were extremely helpful. Though there was no elevator to get to our 3rd floor room, the front desk staff immediately asked if we would need someone to help us get our bags up the stairs for us. We ate in the hotel restaurant for breakfast each morning and the French toast was delicious! The hotel manager was walking around asking guests about their stay and providing information on things to do in the area. Even the cleaning staff were very responsive and asked if everything was satisfactory in our room. Overall great experience and would definitely stay here again.

Super cute hotel. Rooms up to date and clean. If I had a complaint it would be that the shower heads don’t offer much in terms of water pressure. Definitely should have gone with a different model. Rooms also cooled very nicely which isn’t common in hotels these days. We always travel with a fan but would have been fine if we didn’t. Hotel restaurant available- we only had breakfast there and it was fairly basic but did the job. There was always ice cold water in the lobby to get and each day had different fruit in the water. Great location!

Location: While not in the heart of downtown, the location is very convenient for exploring Newport by car, offering easy access to the bridge and surrounding areas. Final Word: If you value personalized hospitality and a clean, modern design over an extensive list of amenities, The Pell is an excellent and welcoming home base for a trip to Newport.
