I had an amazing vacation stay at The Peninsula Chicago with friends and family. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The service was outstanding — the staff were professional, friendly, and very attentive to every detail. The hotel is in a perfect location, within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, and attractions. The food and drinks were exceptional, offering both variety and quality. It’s a perfect place for a luxury getaway, romantic retreat, or even a family vacation. This hotel is quiet, high-tech, kid-friendly, and offers a great view of the city. Overall, it’s great value for the premium experience it offers.
Fantastic hotel. Wonderful location, service is top notch, and the rooms are beautiful. The staff went above and beyond and were very welcoming to our kids. They brought out a little car for the kids to ride. We were so impressed with the restaurant, we hosted our company Christmas party there.
I stayed here in March of 2025, the hotel itself is beautiful. The lobby, bars, and restaurant are immaculate and well staffed, offer a nice variety of eating and drinking experiences. The "Z Bar", has a terrace with sweeping views of the city, along with a small bar and some seating areas. This is a busy place, attracting both hotel guests and locals. Z Bar has cocktails, wine, and beer as well as a small but broad menu of smaller plates and snacks. In the lobby, a larger restaurant serving meals throughout the day is available; it's a little more elevated with respect to attire. While the Shanghai Terrace offering is anything from casual to dressy. Featuring traditional Chinese food, sake, beer, wine and an impressive bottle selection, this restaurant is a must visit. I stayed in the Michigan Avenue Suite, which true to it's name, faces Michigan Ave. The room was well appointed with comfortable furniture including a couch, chairs and a small dining table. The bedroom and bathroom were however the highlight. Tons of closet and drawer space were such a nice feature, as well as a bathroom rivaling most hotels with a soaking tub, separate shower and double vanities and most notably a TV over the tub. The room was very quite, as you cannot hear other guests in the hall or the noises from the crowded streets. The service was top notch, anything I needed was brought in a timely manner and delivered to the room easily. I did bring a pet with me, as the hotel is extremely pet friendly. Both dogs and cats are welcome during your stay, with a fee and maximum of 2 pets. I would stay here again, you could easily never leave the hotel and still have everything you'd ever need at your fingertips.
