The Peninsula Manila

I’ve been a member for years now, and if there’s one constant in the chaos of Manila, it’s this hotel. It’s not just the marble lobby, or the warmth of the staff who greet you like you’re coming home—it’s the memories. This is where my family has marked birthdays, milestones, and quiet victories. Year after year, the Peninsula has been our backdrop for the moments that matter. There’s comfort in knowing the standards never slip. The food still delivers. The service still feels human. And the place—somehow—still feels just as magical as the first time we walked through those doors. It’s more than just a hotel. For us, it’s part of the story. A place where life happens, and happens well.

If you want to experience classic Timeless luxury that is steeped deep in the roots of the Philippines and the traditional Peninsula Hotel brand, you should definitely stay here. Yes, the rooms are a little outdated but they are super clean and elegant. They are not super modern but maybe that's what they want..... they want to keep the natural old-time charm. The service is impeccable. The pool and the amenities are beautiful. It's not a lively crowd and at night time I found it very quiet and boring even at the whiskey bar. But to experience the elegance and people watch during the day as people have afternoon tea, it was definitely an awesome experience. The concierge named Joey took care of me and they arranged to pick me up in a BMW and take me around from the airport back to the hotel and around the city anytime I wanted. Of course this all comes at a cost. Everything is expensive from the food to the services. I walked over to experience the Shangri-La for a drink in the afternoon and it was the same Vibe over there. Timeless beautiful elegance and a luxurious feel but not much to do except people watch and have a drink. If you want something more lively with a younger crowd definitely stay somewhere else. If I came with my family I would probably stay at a different hotel but it was a great experience.

In the heart of Makati. Old world class yet atarctivly modern. Long seems like a fantastic place for a quick chat, for business or pleasure. Function rooms are all upscale and inviting. I did not stay over night this time, but from past experience, everything is super clean and inviting. This a place to remember cherish and come back to.
