Staying at the Peninsula in Tokyo was a one-of-a-kind experience. The warm greeting as soon as we walked in, the immaculate room, beautiful views. I really appreciated how the hotel had both East and West cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And of course everything that we had was absolutely delicious ! I’m still dreaming about that orange juice that we had at breakfast. This location also has a very easy access to the train station to where you don’t even have to go outside of the lobby to access the entrance to the train station, which was incredibly helpful after walking 20,000 steps. This hotel also is right near the Imperial Palace so if you just wanna walk over it’s a short walk to the grounds.
We just spent a few nights at The Peninsula Tokyo and had a fantastic experience. The location is perfect — right between Ginza and Shimbashi — making it incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, and exploring the city. A special mention goes to the concierge team, who were truly outstanding. They helped us book restaurants, organize activities, and even secure train tickets. Their support made everything smooth and stress-free, allowing us to fully enjoy our time in Tokyo. Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-tier service and an unbeatable location.
The service, staff and location of the Peninsula Tokyo is why to stay. The staff is gracious, helpful and welcoming. The pool area is huge and well done with a dedicated lap lane. It’s a terrific pool. Unfortunately- the rest of the hotel is a little dated. It’s still clean and well done - but compared to other hotels stayed in / visited in Tokyo - The Ritz Carlton, Aman, and Mandarin Oriental - the Peninsula is in need of an upgrade to have the same 5 star luxury feel. Our suite was huge with a stunning view - very comfortable. The Peninsulas in London, Chicago and Los Angeles are much nicer and feel more current and fresh. It’s worth staying if you want great views of the gardens - but there are now much better options.
