Popped in for an evening meal and had a lovely experience. Friendly, warm staff, good service and a varied and tempting menu. Food was excellent, particularly the dessert. Will be visiting again on this trip so will update this review further!
A Lovely pub in a small village just 5 mins from the A1. Both the pub and the rooms are dog friendly. Lovely rooms and very clean throughout. Great breakfast selection. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended
The place looks far better from outside than it is inside. It's very tired and quite dirty. It needs redecorating. They had a large family dining and unfortunately we suffered as a consequence. The service was non existent because they were concentrating on the others. The food was not worth the money we paid. The pan fried salmon I had was hard on the fleshy side and the skin was crispy too. There was no flavour at all to the sauce. It was very bland. The vegetables seemed to have been nuked from frozen, again no taste. I had to add salt and I never normally do that. I honestly couldn't wait to get out of there. The staff were friendly enough. They just didn't have time for us.
