Went for a holiday meal, really hearty food served, great atmosphere, propa pub loads of bit and bobs on the walls, exactly what you want from a pub! No complaints what so ever! Staff were extremely friendly, even after listening to the west midlands accent! Would highly recommend. 👌

Really enjoyed eating at the Pheasant Inn tonight. They squeezed us in at very short notice, food was delicious and the service was brilliant. The staff were all friendly and helpful and honestly went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after. I'm always dubious taking children to a new place to eat, but I absolute wouldn't hesitate to come back here next time we're at Kielder.

We stayed one night, over all it was nice, room a bit small but lovely and clean. Bed very comfortable. Please get a new bell for the bar as we waited a while when we got there to check in as it wasn't very loud and I had to shout through hello!! 😊 We had evening meal which was lovely my husband had the ox cheeks which he said were delicious, I had the butter chicken which was lovely, really tasty and it's not badly priced. I think my only two critisms are that if you are staying there, there's literally nothing to do, it's very food focused which is nice as it's lovely inside but it needs something, a TV, a pool table, chess board or playing cards. Just something as we like to have a few drinks after a meal and socialise together. Also I'm sorry to say but some not all staff make little attempt to interact with you apart from what do you want basically, one In particular I believe she may have been called Monica although I may be wrong (dark hair all in white) was quite rude, condescending and personally appeared to pick on another lovely member of staff called Alice. when we had an issue with one drink that needed changing after one sip, she made out like we were wrong, the manager I think Annabel who was lovely and interacted with people checked it said it was the syrup and replace it,once sorted she then told said person just to apologise and give the new drink, however she decide to ask my husband in a condescending manner "would you like to taste it first SIR" and stood there with an attitude while he took a drink making us feel uncomfortable, Now I'm sorry I work in this industry first of all it wasn't her fault as you don't know the syrup is off until someone returns a drink so we weren't complaint we just needed it rectified, secondly you certainly don't imply that the customer is lying and thirdly the attitude she had towards customers was just off and towards the young girl Alice to the point I turned to my husband and commented that she was picking on her. Very rude and abrupt with her. And if your customers notice this then is something that needs addressed. However the owners are lovely and I believe one is the chef, hats off to him very nice.
