The Pickled Parson of Sedgefield

Had a lovely one night stay here to attend a surprise 50th birthday party at the nearby Manor House. We booked in and Harvey showed us to our room (Number eight). The room was very nice and very clean and tidy. The bathroom was a bit small but the shower was very good. The towels were nice and fluffy. After attending the party we got back to our room via the side entrance as it was after 11pm. It was a very warm night so it was great to have a cooling fan in the room. In the morning we went for breakfast after pre ordering the night before and have to say the full English Breakfast was one of the best I have had for a long time. My wife had the bacon sandwich which was also delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend a visit and shall return in the future.

We absolutely loved dining here this evening, and our waitress Eleanor was fantastic, what an asset to the restaurant. Thank you Eleanor. Little touches like having a bowl of water to wash your hands after having the chicken wings make all the difference. It was a very comfortable and clean dining experience. Food was absolutely glorious, and very reasonably priced. This evening they had an issue in the kitchen and apologised as soon as we were sat down but we didn't notice a thing. Everything was smooth and professional and the standard of food and service was very high, even on what must have been a more pressurised night than usual! We will be back here again, thank you for a wonderful evening!!

My partner and I called in for Sunday lunch, turkey was adequate the portion sizes were minimal. Personally the only good thing was the view of the grassed area and the church in the back ground
