The Place Resort at Tokeh Beach

We had the best time at Tokeh Beach Resort, we were with a big group and everything was perfect! The beach is insane, and so quiet, there was enough place for all of us to lay on the beds and enjoy the sun. The food was good and the service was fast and very nice! We all felt very spoiled during this trip and I would definitely recommend coming here!!

The resort is nicely located directly at the beach. During the week it is quiet and relaxing. Staff is friendly and helpful. However, it should be maintained a bit better for the price. My mattress for example was completely sagging. Food was the most expensive I had in whole Sierra Leone and was rather a small portion. Some of the pictures you find are quite outdated. Wifi not available in the huts.

Warning: Intruder Entered My Room at Night Review: Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this lodge due to a serious security incident during my stay. The lock on my door was defective, so I couldn’t lock it from the inside. In the middle of the night, I woke up to find a local man standing inside my room, trying to steal my belongings from the table just a few feet away from my bed. I reported the incident to the manager /owner the next morning. He told me this was the very first time something like this had happened. However, his reaction lacked any real concern, which gave me the impression that this had happened before. That said, the location itself is absolutely beautiful, and my room was very nicely designed. Still, since we stayed here as a group, I noticed that room quality varies drastically — while some rooms are lovely, others don’t even have a proper shower. If you still decide to stay here, I strongly recommend checking the door lock, keeping valuables hidden or on your person at night, and possibly choosing another lodge with better security standards.
