You can tell this hotel was once nice, but it’s old, dark, not updated, smells and the air doesn’t work. Our room was 80 when we arrived and adjusting thermostat did nothing. Everything in the room felt damp and there was a giant fan on the floor. They sent someone for the air when we called and he came right away and at least got air flowing. But lowest we could get it was 76. The lamps did not provide enough light for the room. The valet was backed up when we arrived and we waited for 15 minutes with no one in sight to take the car-even after calling front desk. The restaurant was also very hot and stuffy. The food was decent but overpriced. Our waiter was excellent. The view from our room was beautiful and it’s a perfect location if you are going to a show. Others checking out were also complaining of no air- so it was not isolated to our room.
This is not a 4-star hotel. This place is old, super old, dated and tired. The Starbucks has been shut down for a while. It used to be a Sheraton, now Marriott owned, super gross and scary. Hardly any signage to indicate what the place ot. There was rotten food in the cooler for sale by the front desk. Air conditioner never got cold. The shower was messed up, only blasted the hottest water possible. Carpets dirty, homeless outside. The only positive was the bartender, he was super cool, loved him, great guy. But they were out of everything we wanted. Don't go here if you have any sort of depression, the sadness might push you over the edge.
So I booked this trip for my daughter's birthday and we stayed there over the weekend. My room was 75 degrees. The first night all night long, then I told the front desk about it, they sent someone up to fix it. And yeah, she didn't fix it. And then the second night I had to sleep in a hot room, again. Not only is it $40 to park a night. The ice machines are only available on certain floors. I think 5 different floors have a working ice machine. But I slept in a hot room in the middle of July. Both nights also my TV volume was broken, which was not resolved. I left 2 sweaters. There tried to call 3 days in a row to have my sweaters, mailed to me but could not get a call back or A hold of housekeeping. I would not recommend staying here at all. There's no pool, breakfast, is not included? It did have a nice view, but that's pretty much all I had going for it
