The Plein Hotel Small Luxury Hotels of the World

I booked this hotel as a gift for my parents anniversary and the experience was truly wonderful. The hotel itself is exceptional both for room quality and location. The staff was truly the highlight of our trip. Giancarlo was the best concierge I've ever met. He made my parents feel like they were truly loved during the stay. The restaurant had an amazing show that had us all smiling from ear to ear. The only disappointment for me is being unable to exceed 5 stars in this review.

The hotel is stunning & the staff can do no more for you they go above & beyond to cater to your needs. The location is a 20min walk from the main shops etc but there are attractions closer by. The room itself was amazing & the bath tub was simply divine. Milan is a fantastic city & staying here made our experience one of the best we've had.

I recently stayed at The Plein Hotel in Milan, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The air conditioner in our room was not functioning upon arrival. When we reported it, the staff assured us that it would be taken care of, but after some time passed without any action, we inquired again. Their response was vague, indicating they would "see" what could be done. After leaving the hotel for a couple of hours, we returned to find our room still hot and stuffy. We went to the front desk for assistance, and a staff member accompanied us back to the room. He informed us that nothing could be done and suggested we simply open the window. Despite our request for maintenance to address the broken air conditioning, he repeatedly dismissed our concerns with a smile and the same suggestion to open the window. This led to a terrible night’s sleep as we were disturbed by every passerby and car outside. The following day, while we were out, we came back to an apparently fixed air conditioner, which was a welcome surprise. However, this relief was short-lived; in the middle of the night, the cold air abruptly stopped again. Additionally, the mattress and linens were not luxurious or comfortable, which further detracted from our stay. Thankfully, we checked out the next morning, looking forward to a more pleasant experience elsewhere. I cannot recommend this hotel based on our experience. The lack of effective communication and resolution regarding the air conditioning issue significantly impacted our stay.
